Injections may help with symptomatic relief of:

Osteoarrthristis

Osteoarthritis in the knees, shoulders, or ankles is gradual wear and irritation of the joint surfaces, often due to age, previous injury, or overload. It typically feels like achy, stiff, or grinding joint pain that can worsen with movement and ease after warming up.

Frozen Shoulder

Frozen shoulder is a condition where the shoulder joint becomes inflamed and tight, reducing how far you can move it. It usually feels like a deep, aching pain with stiffness that gradually limits everyday movements like reaching or dressing.

Shoulder Impingement

Shoulder Impingement

Shoulder impingement happens when the rotator cuff tissues are irritated or squeezed under the bony arch at the top of the shoulder.

It often feels like a pinch, ache, or sharp pain when lifting the arm, reaching overhead, or lying on that side.

Carpal tunnel

Trigger finger

Shoulder Impingement

Carpal tunnel is irritation or pressure on a nerve that runs through a small tunnel in the wrist. It often feels like tingling, numbness, or aching in the thumb, fingers, or hand, especially with gripping, typing, or at night.

Trigger finger

Trigger finger

Trigger finger

Trigger finger is irritation of the tendon that bends a finger, causing it to catch or get stuck as it moves. It usually feels like stiffness, tenderness, or a clicking sensation when bending the finger, sometimes locking in a bent position.

Which Joint Injection Is Right for You?

Corticosteroid Injections

Administered by a qualified clinician, this treatment contains corticosteroid medicine and may be recommended when symptoms flare or have not improved with other treatments.

It is used to help manage inflammation and support relief of joint-related symptoms.

Hyaluronic Acid Injection

Contains a gel-like substance that is naturally present in healthy joints.

Administered by a qualified clinician to help support lubrication and smooth joint movement.

Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at contact@inphysio.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

  • Consultation  and Assessment: Your healthcare provider will carefully assess your  condition, medical history, and treatment goals to decide on the best  treatment plan.
  • Injection Procedure: The injection will be delivered directly into the affected joint.  An injection may require the use of Ultrasound Imagery as a guided technique.   This guarantees the location of the injection delivery making it more effective in some cases.
  • Post-Injection  Care: You might feel temporary discomfort or swelling at the injection  site, which can be alleviated with ice, rest, and over-the-counter pain  relievers.
  • Rehabilitation  and Follow-up: Your clinician may suggest physical therapy or  rehabilitation exercises to enhance the benefits of the injections and  aid in restoring optimal joint function

The  effects of steroid and hyaluronic acid injections can last for  different lengths of time, depending on factors such as the severity of  your condition, the joint or area treated, and how your body responds to  the treatment.  Steroid Injections:

  • Following the injection, most patients notice a decrease in pain and inflammation  within 24 to 48 hours.
  • The  effects of a steroid injection usually last anywhere from a few weeks  to several months, with relief varying depending on the condition's  severity, the injection site,  and individual response.

Hyaluronic Acid Injections:

  • Hyaluronic acid injections typically take a little longer to reach their full effect.
  • Patients can expect improved joint mobility and pain relief within a few weeks.
  • These injections usually provide longer-lasting results than steroid injections,  often lasting between six months to a year, making them a popular option for  individuals with chronic joint issues.

*  Most people respond well to treatment, but everybody is unique, and  results can vary. Side effects are uncommon, and your therapist will  talk you through everything before your injection to make sure you feel  comfortable and informed.
